expectations.
maybe she's right. when u lower or have no expectations, that's when disappointment disappears. suddenly the word 'expectation' becomes so scary. there are things i cant comprehend and they wont be resolved until i understand. the actual incident is not freaking important to me at all. it's how people handle it and how they come to that decision and act on it.
what about grace?
Eph 4:31-32 Get rid of all bitterness and rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of malicious behaviour. Instead, be kind to each other, tender hearted, forgiving and another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
i have this verse right in front of me now. God forgave us of our sins just like that. i really wonder how He did that. it's irrational.reason-less.against gravity. so how can i do that?
one more thing, will people ever say they are not ok when u ask them if they are ok? if your 6th sense tells you that it's not, then it's better to not ask that question.. just be prepared to be ignored.

i had to post this first before i continue with school work.
things that i've felt like never before:
- to walk from kent ridge terminal to arts admin block to arts canteen to LT11. (maybe NUS students would understand better. it's just a wei chen thingy. bahh.)
- how it is to sweat so profusely and you cant wipe your sweat off cos both your hands are occupied with egg tarts and vitasoy and your heavy bag. (PLUS i walked the route mentioned to LT11)
- to skip japanese lecture and told your friend it's because you had to teach piano (it's just a decoy. man. i did it quite well didn't i? )
- to scratch my dad's car the second time and he din scold me. -.-!
- to have to keep a secret for 2 days (this is the most constipated one).
- to have to plan a birthday surprise and not just anyone's bday surprise know? it's tan huifang's bday surprise.
yeah. i have never felt worse than being constipated. haha. (but it's for a good cause) and it has reached it's intended effect. so well..relieved..

taking my 'sabbath' right now. haha..
yest's run was good. 8km 8km!! finally, i could take my time off schoolwork and do something i like. it was like the last few rounds and i was having bad stitches even though my legs could still carry me further..and yipeng just went on and on talking about the foolish man who walked from sunrise to sunset to mark out boundaries for lands so that he could own them. oh wells, i knew the ending of the story..the man died in the end and did not get anything. am i not right? this is what i've read tho. and mr huang, you forgot to tell me the ending of your story!!! -.-! fine. haha..i'll ask him again on saturday or sth.
the past few weeks has been nothing but work. schoolwork. readings. projects. piano teaching. no rest at all. it's not outta choice that i'm doing all these but i realised consistency is a must. i cant afford to slow down my pace nor do i have the stamina to increase my pace. just like running..i'm in pain with the stitches..yet i have to go on..yeah..
managed to catch up a little bit with my friend on our way home after the run..it was kinda nice to just stop doing everything and talk. hai. good times are short lived though..maybe it's only when you don't have time then you learn to cherish the time.
Do not be anxious about anything but in everything, by proayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus -Philippians 4:6-7

everyone knows i like to eat waffles right. so i ate and ate and ate alot of waffles. what's good and what's not good? dun care. waffles is nice. i only eat what i like. SO! one fine day, i decided i had enough of waffles. ENOUGH. bye waffles, i think i shouldnt eat so much of you. then i tasted something 'new'..not exactly new to to everyone..but previously my life was waffles and waffles and still waffles. sooo now i've moved on to fishball mee. it must be dry MEE POK with ketchup and when i eat it..each mouthful of noodles must go with another mouthful of soup. occasionally with chopped chilli padi. only chilli padi, the normal chopped chilli is NOT NICE. then i'll get that blissful feeling cos my mouth is filled with..erm. noodles and soup. yeahh. XIN FU de gan jue. HAHAHA. ok. i mean..not that i never tasted fishball mee before..but it din come across to me as so nice. haha..

this song kinda struck a chord in my heart today. no idea why..but.. I havent been close to God recently. feeling carnal in all aspects of my life..and i know. i know working has always been a pitfall for me. money and its temptation.. but it was since young my parents had kinda driven into me that money is important, always think of how to profit from things that you do. You know what? that kind of thinking is still ever present in the family. And ever since i had the ability to earn money, this has gotten me into a struggle. Simple example, my whole holiday was devoted to working. my exams end on fri, i started work on monday worked till 3 days before the next semester started, had a short holiday in between. My parents encouraged it and they are more than happy to see me working.
where lies the repentance in me?
But i have so many wishlists? From a car to a fujifilm finepix S100fs to shopping sprees to holiday getaways to revamping my room to coloured eye contacts to blah blah blah. the list goes on.
Living in the light. ha. i must be clouded by darkness now.

1 John 1:5-7
This is the message he has given us to announce to you: God is light and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God buy go on living in spiritual darkness. We are not living in the truth. But if we are living in the light of God's presence, just as Christ is, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from every sin. (NLT)
I like this perspective:
the fellowship with each other that brings us close to God. The responsibility that we take to be accountable to one another that allows us to keep each other going and come back to God who cleanses us of our sins. I wouldnt have continued to try to 'Live in the light' if not for the people around me. Their testimony of trying to do so is sufficiently encouraging for me. I need my friends (and God, of course) around me and i have only come to realise this only when i was in J1. ha. and since then, there's this fear to lose the people around me but then again, what i have done to show my concern? what have i done for others? What have i been focusing on? What have I been intently concentrating on to be blind to other people's hurt? Where comes the heavenly wisdom?
Some verse in Proverbs says..(i cant remember exactly)..the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
