Philippians 1:8-11

8God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus. 9And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

Bah. I am just lazy to use my pen to write.

Anyhows. Some reflections.

Some misconceptions cleared. That is, I’ve always thought that head knowledge (bible knowledge) and love for others are mutually independent. Why? Non-christians can also love one another without having any bible knowledge so shouldn’t the both subjects be mutually independent? Hmms. Verse 9 expresses otherwise. Paul says “…that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight…” there is a link. To know God’s standard of love so that we can in turn show it to others. I remembered pastor lynette’s sermon on Sunday. Bring it down. Bring it down from the head to the heart to the arms and out to the world.

++++

I believe God has turned my heart once more to him during the Sec One Orientation camp. It’s up to me now.
